My little girl...

With the new hair cut, I can't help but thinking, my little girl is growing up...

Ok, ok...so she's not voting or bringing home boys, but still, it seems like yesterday she was in the NICU and now she's rockin' her first big girl hair cut (and she really is rocking it=) )

Don't you just love it though...I mean...C'MON!

I wanted to take a minute to share a Cadence baby story, for posterity's sake, on this milestone day:

I used to love when Cadence would wake up in the morning because I'd go into her "room" and as soon as I'd enter she'd absolutely light up with the biggest baby smile ever! It made me feel loved like I had never felt loved before...and let's be serious, I've never been starving for love. I think that those mornings were when I realized I was a mom...you know? I was responsible for this little smiling girl, smiling or not.

Friend, our children are growing up...a little bit more and more everyday...got a story for the "posterity files"?

  1. i was thinking the other day about how when elias was a baby (and we lived in the condo), i used to take him for walks to get the mail. i'd even just hold him and walk down, just to get out for a little stroll. and there was this overwhelming sense of pride just holding him, knowing that he was mine, and that he was beautiful, and that i loved him so strongly so quickly. i think those moments were really special to me as a mom.
ps, I WANT MORE BABIESS! NOWWWWW!!

  2. Friend! I love that! I love that you brought up the pride we feel as moms! I had one of those great days today when both myself and my children woke up on the right side of the bed and peace abounded. Everytime I look at any one of my kids I want to hug and kiss 'em and parade them out to the public shouting, "These beautiful little people are mine!"
